DANCER AUDITIONS: SEPTEMBER 2024 (details TBA)

AUDITION: The dance audition will consist of a warm-up, a combination taught by our dance leaders, and a brief solo improvisation. Dancers will be given a reasonable amount of time to learn the choreography before being split into small groups to perform for the casting panel. Dancers will then be given 8-16 counts to show us their best moves, accompanied by an enthusiastic "Happy Holidays!" for the camera. Your smile is a huge part of your audition (even when you are wearing a mask, we can tell if you’re smiling!). Please note that auditions will take about 4 hours to complete, so plan accordingly. Non-auditionees are not permitted inside the audition space.

  • We’re looking for confident dancers who are also energetic, fun-to-watch performers. Remember to bring energy to your performance! Auditions will be filmed by the casting panel.

  • Please keep in mind that casting preference will be given to those who can commit to most or all rehearsal and performance dates! Now is the time to double-check your holiday schedule to assure the availability we have on record for you is accurate.

  • Performers auditioning for Snowflake Lane will be evaluated by Casting and may be considered for roles other than the specific position for which they have chosen to audition. (NOTE: a performer’s chances of being cast increase greatly based on how many positions they are willing to consider).

Performers will be taught a brief combination of dance and flag choreography and given ample time to commit it to memory before performing for the casting panel. DRUMLINE AUDITIONS: SEPTEMBER 2024 (details TBA)

AUDITION: There will be three parts to the drummer audition:

PART 1: PREPARED PIECE (sent to auditionees via email prior to auditions): drummers should be familiar with and ready to PERFORM their preferred instrument's part in the attached audition piece. Snowflake Lane Drummers are expected to be able to prepare music on their own, and your proficiency with the material will absolutely factor into casting. We also want to see your individual spin-- facial expressions, energy, movement, and stick tricks from the very start!

PART 2: CHOREOGRAPHY/MOVEMENT: You will be taught a short piece of choreography and asked to perform it while playing the prepared music. We want to see you learn on the fly, understand how you move, and watch you take direction.

PART 3: HAVE FUN! You may be asked for added antics at any point in the day: come ready to play, create, and enjoy the process!

NOTES:

  • Please bring your own drumsticks. If you do not have drumsticks, we will provide a pair for auditions.
